The vasculitis expertise center at the UMCG has expertise in all major forms of vasculitis including child hood and CNS vasculitis and is the
leading vasculitis center in the Netherlands. www.vasculitiscentrum.nl My research lines focus on translational studies into development of biomarkers including imaging for diagnosis and disease monitoring and treatment monitoring in large vessel vasculitis, giant cell arteritis(GCA) and its associated disease polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR). In my research I integrate basic, clinical and imaging data in order to improve outcome for patients with vasculitis.
